In a competitive market, your headshot is often the first impression potential clients or collaborators will have of you. A professional, engaging photo not only enhances your credibility but also communicates your personality and approachability, helping you stand out and connect more effectively with your audience.

FAQ + Some Hints to Make Your Session Fabulous
• Your session includes the photography and two final full resolution custom retouched images delivered as a JPEG. You’ll make your selections at the end of your session. The final retouched image files will be delivered to you electronically within 2 weeks .If you want additional images you must order and pay for them at the session!
• Be on time for your photo shoot! If you are late or miss your session, there are no refunds. Please note: the sessions are happening in Houston in Central Time. Your calendar software may change your session time depending upon the timezone you are in when you sign up. Please note the time you choose and show up promptly! If you have any question about your correct session time you may contact me in the days preceding Quilt Market to confirm.
Q What Should I Wear?
A Choose clothing that makes you feel good and is comfortable. Feel free to bring options and layers– we can likely fit in a couple of looks. Avoid very contrasty strong graphics unless that is your brand!
Q Can I bring some props from my business ?
A Yes, please! Feel free to bring a few items that we can include that tell about your brand or are part of your signature look. I love a photo that includes a headshot with a stack of samples! On the other hand, simple is also beautiful.
Q Will I have a choice of backdrop ?
A Yes! We will have my signature blackout background as well as brighter/lighter options. You can choose to sit or stand. Want to have a quilt as your background? Bring it on! I’ll have clamps to hang it.
Q How should I do my hair and makeup ?
A Apply your makeup just a bit heavier than you normally would. Bring along some extra lipstick to freshen up. Bring hair brush or product if you tend to use any. If you are a “no makeup” person we get you– and suggest a minimum of wearing mascara and a tinted lip gloss. You do you!
